Gmail ignores dots in email ids <strong>a.b.c<\/strong>@gmail.com is same as <strong>abc<\/strong>@gmail.com<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-right-width: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/gmailpic_thumb.png\" border=\"0\" alt=\"yes this is you\" width=\"303\" height=\"145\"><\/p>\n<p>If you receive an email ignoring dots in your gmail id then it will show as above\u2026<\/p>\n<p>More in this <a href=\"http:\/\/mail.google.com\/support\/bin\/answer.py?hl=en&amp;ctx=mail&amp;answer=10313\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">link<\/a>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>But there is a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">small problem<\/span> in this.. you register in a third party site with \u201c.\u201d in your Gmail id and after some time you decide to ignore dots in your email, now you try to use the third party site\u2019s forgot password option and if you didn\u2019t remember that you have used \u201c.\u201d when you registered, then you may lose your account in the site.
